WUWF Public Media is a listener-supported public radio organization based on the University of West Florida campus in Pensacola, Florida. Its station, WUWF 88.1 FM, is licensed to the Board of Trustees of the University of West Florida and has been on the air since 1981. WUWF is a member of NPR, Florida Public Media and American Public Media, and describes itself as NPR for Florida's Great Northwest.

The main signal broadcasts on 88.1 FM with 100,000 watts from a 1,000-foot tower in Midway, Florida, serving Pensacola and the central Gulf Coast. WUWF broadcasts in HD and multicasts three channels: the main channel carries news and talk on weekdays with music programs in the evenings and educational and entertainment programs on weekends; HD2 carries classical music around the clock; and HD3 has carried the BEACON service, which delivers localized safety alerts and emergency information, since June 2025. All three streams are available at wuwf.org and through the WUWF mobile app.

WUWF is the Emergency Alert System broadcaster for the Pensacola metropolitan area and, with Florida's other public radio stations, created the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network (FPREN), which works with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and local emergency operations centers to keep listeners informed before, during and after storms and other emergencies.

Locally produced programs include Acoustic Interlude, RadioLive, Five Corners, Big Bands and Jazz and The EcoMinute, along with local and Florida news coverage. The station also webcasts University of West Florida events such as Board of Trustees meetings and commencement.

WUWF staff are University of West Florida employees, and the station's openings are posted on the university's career site. Recent postings include part-time broadcast assistant and student broadcast assistant pools in its Programming and Production department, who serve as on-air talent, run the control board and help engineer RadioLive sessions and webcasts.
