WGLT is Bloomington-Normal's Public Media, an NPR member station at 89.1 FM licensed to Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. It also operates WCBU in Peoria and produces local news, music programs and podcasts for central Illinois.

WGLT is a public radio station and NPR member station licensed to Illinois State University and based in the WGLT-Vidette Building on the university's campus in Normal, Illinois. It signed on in 1966 as a student-run station heard only in the dorms and became a full-power NPR station in 1976. Its call letters come from the university motto, "Gladly we learn and teach." Branded as Bloomington-Normal's Public Media, WGLT broadcasts on 89.1 FM and HD Radio, streams at WGLT.org and on the NPR app, and reaches about 25,000 listeners a week over the air plus nearly 150,000 monthly unique website users.

The station carries local news and NPR programming during the day and music in the evenings and on weekends, including blues. Its signature local reporting series is Sound Ideas, and the newsroom has won regional and national awards from the Associated Press, Public Radio News Directors Inc. and the Edward R. Murrow Awards. WGLT also produces locally made podcasts and is a member of the Institute for Nonprofit News. Since June 2019 WGLT has operated sister station WCBU in Peoria under an agreement between Illinois State University and Bradley University, and the two stations post shared newsroom positions.

As an independent public radio station, WGLT raises about 65 percent of its operating budget from individuals, families and organizations in the communities it serves, with about 25 percent from Illinois State University and the rest from state and private grants. Full-time professional staff are employees of Illinois State University, an equal opportunity employer, and openings are posted on the university's job site. WGLT hires reporters, hosts, producers and business and development staff, and offers student internships in reporting, audio production, on-air announcing, photography and video, digital and social media, development, and operations and engineering.
