Rocky Mountain PBS

Colorado's statewide public television network, operated by Rocky Mountain Public Media, the Denver nonprofit that also runs KUVO Jazz and The Drop radio, local news and documentaries, and statewide civic engagement programs.

Rocky Mountain PBS is Colorado's statewide public television network and the state's first public television station. Its flagship, KRMA-TV in Denver, signed on in January 1956 as an educational station owned by Denver Public Schools. The network now reaches almost all of Colorado, plus parts of neighboring states, through stations in Denver, Pueblo and Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and Durango and a system of broadcast translators. Digital subchannels carry PBS Kids, Create and World.

The network is operated by Rocky Mountain Public Media, Inc., a nonprofit, member-supported multimedia organization headquartered at the Buell Public Media Center in Denver's Five Points neighborhood. Rocky Mountain Public Media is also the parent of the public radio stations KUVO Jazz (89.3 FM, NPR and jazz programming) and The Drop, an urban alternative music station. Alongside PBS programming it produces local news and documentaries, arts and culture coverage, the Colorado Experience history series, kids and early learning content, and statewide civic engagement initiatives, delivered on air, on rmpbs.org and through its streaming platforms.

Rocky Mountain Public Media hires across television and radio production, multimedia journalism and editing, programming, broadcast engineering and technology, philanthropy and fundraising, marketing and digital content, education and community engagement, and administration. Postings run through its isolved Hire applicant portal. Most roles are based in Denver, and some offer work from home flexibility.
