Arkansas TV, formerly Arkansas PBS and AETN, is the statewide PBS member network for Arkansas, operated from Conway by the Arkansas Educational Television Commission, a state agency. It broadcasts on six full-power stations and runs ArkansasIDEAS and AR-CAN.
Arkansas TV is the statewide public television network for Arkansas and a member of PBS. It is operated by the Arkansas Educational Television Commission (AETN), a state agency, from its headquarters at 350 S. Donaghey in Conway. The network signed on in 1966 as the Arkansas Educational Television Network, took the name Arkansas PBS in 2020 and became Arkansas TV in December 2025. In June 2026 the Arkansas TV Foundation, the nonprofit that raises the network's member support, reached the funding goal to keep Arkansas TV a PBS member.
Six full-power transmitters, KETS Little Rock, KEMV Mountain View, KETG Arkadelphia, KAFT Fayetteville, KTEJ Jonesboro and KETZ El Dorado, together with low-power translators, carry the network across almost all of Arkansas and into parts of neighboring states. Alongside PBS and other national programs, Arkansas TV produces local public affairs, cultural and documentary programming such as Arkansas Week and Exploring Arkansas, and televises high school state championships sanctioned by the Arkansas Activities Association.
Beyond broadcasting, Arkansas TV runs ArkansasIDEAS, the statewide online professional development service for K-12 educators, in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education; the Arkansas Citizens Access Network (AR-CAN), which livestreams state government meetings and events; Arkansas Live event streams; and outreach and engagement events in communities across all 75 counties.
Arkansas TV hires in production, engineering, marketing and audience engagement, education, finance and administration, operations, information technology, programming, and development and fundraising. Commission staff are state employees whose openings are also posted on the State of Arkansas ARCareers system under the Educational Television Division, and the Arkansas TV Foundation has employees of its own.
