WNRN is a listener-supported, independent music radio network based in Charlottesville, Virginia. On the air since September 1996, it describes itself as a network of 12 stations across the state, with signals serving Richmond, Hampton Roads, Roanoke, Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg and the Shenandoah Valley, Williamsburg and Nelson County, and it streams worldwide through its website and apps. Its flagship is WNRN-FM 91.9 in Charlottesville.

The station is licensed to Stu-Comm, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a board of directors drawn from the community, incorporated in 1993 to bring public radio to the Charlottesville area. WNRN says it is not affiliated with any university or governing institution and that nearly 85 percent of its operating budget comes from listener support and underwriting. Its mission is to connect and inspire listeners in its broadcast area through music and community messages.

Programming centers on an adult album alternative music format built around new music discovery, live In-Studio Sessions and off-the-beaten-path classics, with weekend specialty shows such as Bluegrass Sunday Morning, Country Feedback and Fresh Roots New Blues. WNRN is an NPR member station and carries World Cafe, All Songs Considered and Alt.Latino. Its Hear Together program, started in 2015, weaves segments about local nonprofits into the regular music hours at no cost to those groups. The station also features Virginia artists through Commonwealth Music and presents concerts and events around the Commonwealth.

WNRN's offices and studios are at 2250 Old Ivy Road in Charlottesville. Its executive staff covers general management, finance, development, programming and fundraising, and the most recent full-time hire listed in its EEO public file report was a Director of Fundraising. The station also trains volunteer on-air hosts and runs a semester internship program for students from area colleges and universities, who work on administrative and marketing tasks, music and contest-winner databases, podcast editing and the website. Openings are posted on the station's Careers and Internships page as they become available.
